Carolina Perez Aleman studied at Parsons before spending the next decade moving between the business of brands and the making of images.She began in production, supporting shoots for brands like L'Oréal, Redken, Zara, and Oscar de la Renta, before going on to produce and cast shoots herself for Vanity Fair, Redken, Neutrogena, and Blanc Magazine. At Brandon Blackwood, she led the full creative direction and visual identity relaunch — directing every shoot end-to-end, from brief and casting through on-set direction and post.Most of her career has been spent on the other side of the table. She started her own PR and events agency in Panama, working with brands such as YSL Beauty, Bottega Veneta, and Dior Beauty, and has since led brand strategy and marketing for brands like PDPAOLA. That vantage point is what shapes how she directs — an art director who thinks like the brand she's shooting for, not just the frame in front of her.
